Relaunch of ESS website

The countdown was almost down to zero, and the world did not stop, and Jesus or God did not appear on earth. There was something else that happened instead; I updated the ESS website with a new design and a lot of new features. I will not list all updates but rather a few major ones.

To begin with the site is built from scratch, and optimized to be fast and secure. The design is made to be simple and user-friendly and it is also possible to view the site through a mobile browser without losing too much of the user-friendly experience.

Some of the major updates and features of this site are better server status page, file downloads, events, ability to change timezone, updated tutorial page and RSS feeds.

Stats restarted

The stats have once again been restarted. This time it's due to bugs in the BFStats generator. It was not built for supporting the new year, 2008, as it caused errors.

I have now made a program to solve the problem by replacing all occurrences of 2008 in the CSV file and replace it with 2007. There are no down sides with this, other than that you need to restart the stats once.

If you are having problems with the stats too, email me (through the contact form), and I will send you the stats fix program.

The stats are updated once an hour like before. Happy gaming!

Carnage 2.0b

Tomi has made a new mod called Carnage. It can be summed up with three words; mountains, goblins and different. There are no pictures available so you just have to test it for yourself.

Server Browser

Have you ever want to check the server browser in BF SWD without starting the game? Well I have, many times. So I made Server Browser.

With Server Browser you can view the online servers, in both BF1942 SW Demo and BF1942 Demo without starting any games.

Another useful point with Server Browser is when you're making a new server and want to see if it's showing up in the server list. Server Browser makes your job much easier, and faster.
